The transition from soldier to civilian is oftentimes not an easy one.
The American College and The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company have partnered to form The Penn Mutual Center for Veterans Affairs, honoring the brave members of the armed forces transitioning back to civilian life. The main purpose of The Center is to provide educational support and career opportunities to eligible veterans by awarding full scholarships to those interested in pursuing The American College’s designation and degree programs.
The American College offers a wide range of educational programs in various insurance and financial services areas, including: retirement planning, estate planning, health care, life insurance underwriting, risk management, philanthropy, leadership development, and employee benefits.
The scholarship program offered by The Penn Mutual Center for Veterans Affairs affords a unique opportunity for military veterans, and their spouses, seeking a new direction through flexible distance learning and training. The American College’s designation and degree programs are available in various formats, which enables the student to conveniently study in a distance learning environment which accommodates individual learning styles and unpredictable schedules.
Recent and past veterans that have separated from the service honorably within the past (5) years are eligible to apply, as well as active military members who expect to separate from service with an honorable discharge within the next year. Spouses of active military members and veterans are also eligible and encouraged to apply.
