Application Process/Procedure

  1. Submit completed scholarship application documentation
  2. Complete online assessment/questionnaire administered by LIMRA
  3. Participate in scholarship committee interview
  4. Background check

Scholarship Application

The Penn Mutual Center for Veterans Affairs and The American College will evaluate applicants for military scholarships fairly and consistently. The applicant is responsible for submitting all of the following:

  1. Download and save the form below to your computer's hard drive.
  2. Complete the electronically fillable PDF form in Adobe Acrobat. Be sure to save your work.
  3. Attach your completed PDF form to an email and send to: VeteransScholarship@TheAmericanCollege.edu.

LIMRA Assessment

Once the completed application documentation is reviewed by the necessary parties, eligible scholarship candidates will be asked to participate in a timed, online assessment/questionnaire provided by LIMRA. The online assessment/questionnaire will gauge the candidate’s learning style, prospecting courage, entrepreneurial spirit, and potential to successfully complete and pass insurance and FINRA licensing exams.


Interview & Background Check

Following the LIMRA assessment, eligible candidates will also go through a scholarship interview to be followed by a brief background check. The American College will determine final eligibility and acceptance into the scholarship program following completion of the application process.
