Alanah Phillips

MBA

FinServe Network Ambassador
NextGen Advisory Task Force Co-Chair

Alanah Phillips, MBA is an advocate for the next generation of financial advisors. She is a recruiter, speaker, and industry troublemaker with seven years of experience as a national Director of Recruiting. In 2023 she launched Advisor Launch Lab with the intention of supporting growing teams as an outsourced training and development resource. She works closely with The American College of Financial Services co-chairing its Next-Gen Advisory Taskforce and hosting a podcast for up-and-coming financial professionals called Nextgen in 10. Whether hiring and training advisors or consulting experienced teams on how best to leverage their newest team members, she is a leader in her field.

In 2017, Alanah launched Project Inspire to specifically inspire and educate young women about careers in financial services. She has mentored over 200 college-aged women curious about the personal financial planning industry and has helped them take control of their career trajectories.

And she isn’t afraid to push the envelope and experiment with new media. She uses these tactics to make transitioning advisors better at their craft. You can find her on LinkedIn discussing why it might be time for advisors to break up with their broker-dealer. She partners with experienced advisors helping them identify reasons it might be time to step away from their current situation and connects them to resources to help them build a successful, independent practice.
