Live Online FAQs

What are the benefits of taking a course live online?
With a live online offering, you get the benefit of some of the best instructors in the industry to help you master all of the challenging material in the course and prepare you for the exam. The classes also allow you to ask questions, and the regularly scheduled sessions keep you on track to reach your goals. If you miss a session, you'll always be able to listen to a replay of it at your convenience.
Why do other providers of CFP® Certification education charge a higher price for live online classes?
As a non-profit and the leader in financial services education, we work hard to keep your costs as low as possible while still providing you with exceptional instructors. Our additional charge for all the benefits of a live online classroom experience is a modest $145 because we want to help as many professionals as possible take advantage of this valuable education.
Are there other ways to study at The College?
Absolutely. We also offer self-study supported by tremendous online resources (including study tips, practice exams, audio reviews and more), classroom review sessions for CFP® Certification courses and even alternate ways to pay for self-study courses (such as our popular monthly pay option). If you're uncertain which option is best for you, call a Professional Education counselor at 888-263-7265, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.
How do The American College's materials differ from those of other educators?
The American College's courses stress the practical application of the coursework. Faculty developed case studies will allow you to gain a better understanding of how the theories and practices are best utilized in real world scenarios, giving you the edge not only during the exam, but in your day-to-day business as well.
Why should I study at The American College?

An academic thought leader, The College has the highest level of accreditation available with an outstanding faculty dedicated to helping you succeed as a financial services professional. In fact, more industry leaders got their start studying at The American College than at any other financial services educational institution.
