The American College and MassMutual commissioned the study, Employer Perspectives on Disability Benefits, in order to better understand what employers are offering in disability overage and to identify potential shortfalls and gaps in these offerings. The study was conducted by the Boston Research Group, a leading strategic market research and consulting firm specializing in the financial services industry. Benefit managers, or those most familiar with their company's group long-term disability plan, were interviewed by telephone. From a list of the 3,000 largest companies, 316 interviews were completed.
To learn more about the findings of Employer Perspectives on Disability Benefits, join us for our March 8th webcast, featuring MassMutual's Tracy Shaw and Lisa Karam. This informative, 55 minute presentation will be followed up by a Q&A session, where you can get your questions answered!

Alumni Hall of Fame Nominations
Submit Your Recommendation by May 15, 2012
This is your opportunity to recognize an esteemed and admired graduate of The American College by nominating him or her to the Alumni Hall of Fame. Each year we honor one individual who has made extraordinary contributions in time, effort and energy to The College and the Alumni Association.
Additionally, individuals must be long-term volunteers and active participants in The College's community and learning environment.
Only six individuals have ever received this honor, including the 2011 recipient, Sal Farina, MSM, CLU®, ChFC®, CLF®. The brightest leaders in the industry get nominated each year, and for 2012 the selection process has been changed. In previous years, a review committee of past Hall of Fame inductees and the President of The American College Alumni Association chose the Alumni Hall of Fame recipient, but now the Alumni Board will be selecting the honorary person based off your nominations.
It is important to pay tribute to someone who has gone above and beyond to give back and help build value to The College. If you know someone who is worthy of this honor, please take the time to nominate that person for the Alumni Hall of Fame.
