As executive vice president of marketing and relationship management for LPL Financial Institution Services, Andy Barksdale provides oversight and strategic direction for the firm's efforts to help financial institutions to reach the full potential of their investment and insurance programs and to help enable financial advisors to increase productivity and efficiency while delivering the highest level of service to their clients. Mr. Barksdale is responsible for developing a robust marketing offering focused on the unique needs of financial institutions, in addition to leading the development of a multifaceted relationship management team. Mr. Barksdale joined the firm in 2007 following the acquisition of UVEST Financial Services by LPL Financial.
Prior to LPL Financial, Mr. Barksdale worked at UVEST for five years, leading a variety of sales, marketing, and product development functions. Previously, he held management responsibilities in marketing and business development for MCI and BellSouth/Cingular (now AT&T). He also worked for Georgia National Bank (now SouthTrust/Wachovia Bank) and Trust Company Bank of Georgia (now SunTrust Bank).
Mr. Barksdale has a BBA in finance and an MBA in marketing and cost accounting from the University of Georgia. He is Series 7 and 24 registered.
