Ethics Awareness Month

Ethics Awareness Month was instituted in 1990 by The American College and others to increase the awareness of ethics in the financial services industry. As many as 150 insurance companies and more than 100 other financial services-related companies, professional associations, and societies have participated as endorsers. Today, The American College Center for Ethics in Financial Services, along with some of these organizations continue to mark Ethics Awareness Month in a variety of ways by producing ethics-related articles for company publications and providing education programs for company agents and employees.

Ethics is not a once a year activity. The Center advocates the importance of asking yourself five basic questions when you find yourself in ethical dilemmas. Print these questions out and post them where you can see them every day. Think about them daily to reinforce ethical thinking.

If you have any questions or specific needs you would like the Center to address, please feel free to contact us.
