Dr. Craig Lemoine, CFP® holds the Davis Distinguished Professor of Financial Planning Technology at The American College. His responsibilities include teaching a number of financial planning and case study courses at the college. Craig has been an Assistant Professor of Financial Planning at the college since 2008.
Since starting his career in 1998 Craig has taken a special interest in the relationship between financial advisers utilizing technology with their clients. He has worked for PIE Technologies as a financial analyst, Lincoln Financial Advisers as a team manager and financial planner. While at Lincoln Craig participated in training insurance agents on utilizing software for estate and retirement purposes, teaching them to look beyond cash flow and into the needs of their clients.
Craig became a CFP® Professional in 2003 after graduating from Texas Tech University in 1998. He has volunteered extensively with the council of examinations since 2006 and became a council member in 2010. He served as Chairman of the Council of Examinations in 2013. Craig completed his doctorate in 2013 studying signaling theory between financial planners and clients.
Craig has previously volunteered with the Financial Planning Association and is a member of the Academy of Financial Services. Craig's research interests include compensation conflicts in financial planning and annuity use with clients. He developed and designed The American College’s case study course as well as a doctoral course in financial planning. He continues to consult with financial service practices in areas of product placement, agent development and financial software applications.
In 2011 Craig settled to Havertown, PA where he lives with his lovely wife Liz and two slightly out of control dogs. When not teaching Craig enjoys traveling, cooking and trying to stay fit.
