The American College of Financial Services, located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania is accepting applications for the position of Director, Network Operations within the Information Technology Department. We are looking for a candidate with strong analyst, project execution, and business process experience. The optimal candidate is an experienced hands-on manager who will have the opportunity to lead and expand a small team in a high-growth environment.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Manages staff and is directly responsible for the 24 X 7 monitoring and operations of data and voice networks, support of critical applications and providing leadership
  • Initiates and fosters business partnerships with colleagues, vendors and various College (or Reporting) teams
  • Supervise team activities and daily, weekly, monthly routines to ensure short and long term initiatives are met
  • Resource management including reviews and performance plans
  • Assist in the hiring process and maintaining appropriate staffing levels
  • Maintain technical acumen around core solutions and services and ensure that we promote the education, training, and where necessary, certifications of team members
  • Assist in establishing policies and procedures that align with the organization’s overall goals and objectives
  • Ensure the standards of performance are adhered to and make policy changes as needed
  • Ensure Change Management procedures are strictly followed
  • Participate in any audits as they relate to Information Technology
  • Assist in monitoring and management of performance metrics to client accounts; timely reporting, involvement in status reviews as necessary and case reporting metrics
  • Work with team to consistently strive for improvement in performance of support and administrative activities
  • Assist with the technical design relative to core infrastructure upgrades, expansion and technology shifts

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, MIS or other technical related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 7+ years’ network engineering and/or operations management experience
  • A track record of leading, motivating and developing high performing teams in diverse functions and ability to positively influence upward as well as laterally
  • Strong understanding of SAN and NAS environments, demonstrated experience in the successful design and/or implementation of major IT projects
  • Experience with Cisco IOS and the Cisco product line
  • Experience with network monitoring and management protocols
  • Deep curiosity and passion for data systems
  • Ability to clearly define and communicate strategic priorities
  • Understands how to manage risk
