The American College of Financial Services, located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania is accepting applications for Lead Contributor in New Business Development. The opportunity is a 1099 role initially, with the clear potential to grow into a full-time W-2 role as we succeed.

Role, Responsibilities and Expectations:

Support the VP in all efforts to expand the business of The College into new markets

  • Particular need to do follow-ups on contacts made, deliverables, response notes, etc. and drive sales from these contacts
  • Initial outreach on leads, particularly for entities where we don’t have a current presence
  • Generation of new opportunities and initial contact development
  • International operations: Handle follow-ups and deliverables, response notes, set up meetings with appropriate internal/external personnel, and begin developing opportunities in countries where we aren’t currently active

Create opportunities for business growth

  • Handle initial intake – including deal tracking, status updates, etc.
  • Generation of new opportunities for Corporate Consulting
  • Ability to consult with senior leaders and other learning and development professionals at client companies
  • Consult with internal and outsourced faculty and instructional design resources to identify appropriate educational solutions to customized client needs
  • Generate proposals based on client consultations
  • Respond to complex RFP opportunities from financial services firms
  • Manage and track active projects, as well as projects in the “pipeline” on an ongoing basis to ensure timely follow up and on time delivery of commitments

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales, internal wholesaling or a business development/innovation role
  • Ability to identify and build strong relationships with key influencers
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skill
  • Committed, collaborative, reliable, communicative, and enthusiastic
