Adjunct Professor of Organization & Management
Marguerite Barta, PhD, is an adjunct professor of organization & management at The American College of Financial Services. She joined The College in June of 2020. Over Dr. Barta’s 19-year career in post-secondary education, she has served in the Schools of Business at the undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate level for several universities as a faculty member, a department chair, and a PhD dissertation chair for doctoral candidates.
Dr. Barta earned her doctorate in Organization and Management from Capella University and has a Master of Science in Electronic Commerce, a Master of Science in Managerial Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from National Louis University. Additionally, Dr. Barta holds a certificate of Community Leadership from the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership at The University of Georgia. She is SCOR-certified through the Supply Chain Council and is certified in research through CITI and NIHI.
Dr. Barta is a published author with various academic journals and a frequent presenter at national and international academic and industry conferences. Dr. Barta has worked in the private sector as a business consultant to corporations and in Human Resources for the transportation and automobile industries. Dr. Barta is an avid reader and is a volunteer with her local library. She enjoys traveling with her husband and her Aussie Shepherd.
