About

Dr. Gatto is experienced in establishing forward-thinking programs, driving instructional development and outreach initiatives. Prior to joining The American College of Financial Services Dr. Gatto held academic management, instructional, and leadership positions at UC Berkeley where he was recognized for his outstanding contributions to Staff Diversity Initiatives, and by the Haas School of Business for Leading through Innovation. Dr. Gatto is committed to the success of each and every student. His teachings and lectures on leadership and team building, the psychology of leadership, technology leadership, business ethics, human relations in the workplace, and the psychology of success have reached all levels from undergraduate to graduate, doctorate and executive education. His graduate research focused on the impact of positive psychology on innovative work behavior and served as the basis for a groundbreaking Executive Education program —Positive Leadership and Innovation at UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering.

Prior to entering academia, he worked in account management, investment counseling, retirement plans, corporate training, and marketing communications in the financial services industry for Vanguard, CIGNA, and MFS Investment Management. Dr. Gatto has served on the boards of the Greater Boston Business Council and the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards Educational Board. He presently serves as an International Consultant to the Latin American Center for Applied Positive Psychology.

Dr . Gatto has a PhD in organizational leadership from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, a Master of Education in psychology from Cambridge College, and a Bachelor of Science in business administration and marketing from Villanova University and various certifications from U.C. Berkeley, University of Pennsylvania and University of Michigan.
