American College Professor to speak at major financial planning conference

BRYN MAWR, PA, Dec. 15, 2015 – Adam Beck, Director of the Center for Special Needs at The American College of Financial Services and Assistant Professor of Health Insurance, will speak at the AICPA Advanced Personal Financial Planning Conference taking place Jan. 18-20 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

As the leader of the Chartered Healthcare Consultant® (ChHC®) program at The American College, Beck has consulted with major insurance companies and industry associations on the implications of the Affordable Care Act, and advocated for small business brokers before the U.S. House of Representatives.

Beck, who is also an attorney, will talk about “Emerging Trends in Health Insurance.”

“I was flattered to be given an opportunity to speak about the state of the health insurance industry at such a prestigious event,” Beck said. “I’ll be talking about the importance of private exchanges; small business and health insurance planning; how the Affordable Care Act impacts retirement; and also about some ways to use health savings accounts as a retirement income vehicle”

Hosted by the American Institute of CPAs, the conference is designed to help financial planning professionals refine business strategies, implement new techniques and bring the greatest value to their clients.
