Commentary: How California's Prop 22 on Gig Employment Could Impact Financial Services

With the freelance and “gig” job market growing in the U.S. and across the world, new legal debates and public arguments about the rights afforded to those who aren’t technically considered “employees” of a company but still do essential work are on the rise. In light of prevailing economic trends and the COVID-19 pandemic, the question of what protections these workers are entitled to is now front and center.
