Sallie B. and William B. Wallace, CLU®, ChFC® receive 2015 President’s Award

BRYN MAWR, Pa., Aug. 10, 2015 - Sallie B. and William B. Wallace, CLU®, ChFC®, CAP® (Bethesda, MD) received the 2015 President's Award from The American College of Financial Services on June 25, 2015.

Given by The American College Foundation Board of Directors, the President's Award highlights the importance of leadership and stewardship in advancement. Bill and Sallie's long years of service, their selfless dedication to The American College of Financial Services and their extraordinary generosity to the institution make them most worthy of this prestigious honor.

In 1999, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace established the Sallie B. and William B. Wallace Chair in Philanthropy at The American College of Financial Services. The Wallace Chair advances learning in philanthropy through The College's educational programs. Through the Wallace Chair, The College established the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designation. The program is offered at the graduate level, and part of The American College's Masters of Science in Financial Services program. The CAP® program is widely respected in the financial services profession and the charitable community.

Over the years, Bill has provided exemplary leadership to The College. He was Chairman of the Board of Trustees and served as a long-time member. Currently, he is Director Emeritus on The College's Foundation Board. In 1990, The College awarded the Huebner Gold Medal to Bill. During the Wallace's many years of involvement, Sallie and Bill have given much of their personal time and resources to support The College's mission.
