Before joining Northern Trust in 2015, Robert was a Senior Tax Consultant in Deloitte’s New York City Private Wealth practice. At Deloitte, he advised high-net-worth multi-generational families on their gift and estate planning, income tax planning, charitable planning, and family office structuring. Robert graduated from Manhattan College, earning a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS).

In February 2019, Robert was nominated to the National CPA Financial Literacy Commission. He is also an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), Financial Planning Association (FPA), and has previously served on the AICPA’s national Personal Financial Specialist Credential Committee.

Robert is frequently quoted as a wealth management and tax expert in national financial publications and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, and USA Today. He has authored many articles and columns for leading professional journals including the Journal of Financial Planning, Journal of Accountancy, and The Tax Adviser. In June 2018, Robert was one of 17 CPAs nationally age 40 and under honored by the AICPA for his contributions to the personal financial planning profession with the Personal Financial Planning Standing Ovation Award.
