As the Head of Planning Solutions Group, Dr. Jason Heller plays a critical role at Coastal Wealth, leading a professional team of para-planners, product line specialists, financial planners, and advance market professionals, who work together to help you make informed decisions that can help maximize your client relationships. Jason’s experience includes the development and implementation of strategies to help clients achieve their goals of growing, preserving, and transferring their wealth.
Prior to joining our firm, Dr. Heller worked as an Investment Specialist at MassMutual South Florida and Guardian Life Insurance after managing his own private practice for several years. In 2007, Guardian named Jason their National Investment Specialist of the year. Jason is a lifetime qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, and a qualifying member of the Court of the Table in years 2010/12/14/15/16/17/19/20/21 & 2022. Jason has qualified for Top of the Table twice (2021 & 2022).
Dr. Heller has earned thirty four industry designations, including the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®), a designation given jointly by the Wharton School of Business and the Investments & Wealth Institute, along with the Retirement Income Certified Planner (RICP®).
Jason has received his Ph.D.® at the American College (’20) for financial and retirement planning. He also has two Masters degrees in Financial Services from the Institute of Business & Finance and the American College.
In addition to his roles and responsibilities with his own practice and as an Executive at Coastal Wealth, Jason is an adjunct professor at The American College, teaching Behavioral Finance in their Masters of Financial Planning program and various courses in their Chartered Leadership Fellow® designation.
Jason graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where he also played college basketball. He is an avid University of Miami athletics fan. Jason is married to Jessica, they live in Ft. Lauderdale with their two children, Cameran and Jackson.
