Areas of Expertise:
John Whitham, MLIS, MSIS, is head of Library Services at The American College of Financial Services. His focus is to extend usability of The College’s research resources to online students, providing increased digital access to industry news, reports and data. He is responsible for organizing and developing The College’s digital library resources and curating digital collections about the history of The College. His expertise brings The College’s library into greater alignment with the highest standard of university technology and digitization initiatives with the goal of establishing it as a technology and digitization leader.
John also serves as Assistant Vice President of the Academic Division’s Centers of Excellence and Organizational Outreach. In this role, he provides strategic vision and direction in the areas of knowledge management, content development and communications. He directs the planning, development and implementation of outcomes-based strategies for Center activities and collaboration, academic content generation and faculty/expert media relations.
John received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating magna cum laude. He holds dual Master of Science degrees in Library and Information Science, and Information Systems from Drexel University, where he was inducted into the International Honor Society for Computing and Information Disciplines.
