About
Kelsey LeFevour is Adjunct Professor of special needs planning at The American College of Financial Services. She is involved in teaching the Introduction to Disability course in the ChSNC® program. LeFevour is also PhD candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign studying sport management. In addition to her own research interests of elite athlete transition and retirement from sport, she is involved in projects regarding coaching education and athlete identity as well as an instructor for an online disability in recreation, sport, and tourism undergraduate class.
She is actively involved with Classroom Champions and Athletes for Hope, two organizations aimed at supporting involvement of elite athletes in their local communities. For the last twelve years, LeFevour has been actively involved in the Illinois Wheelchair Athletics Program as an athlete on the track and road racing team, as well as the 2013, 2015, and 2017 US Paralympics World Championships Teams, 2015 Parapan American Team, and 2016 Paralympic Team.
