About

Mary A. Houser is an Educational Consultant at The American College of Financial Services.

Dr. Houser has worked as a learning disabilities specialist, a special education classroom teacher, and a special education curriculum developer prior to taking the position of Associate Professor of Special Education at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. She has also taught at Campbell University (Buies Creek, NC) and Walden University (Minneapolis, MN). Dr. Houser has authored numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed articles on autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and families with disabilities, including The Special Educator’s Guide to Assessment: A Comprehensive Summary by IDEA Disability Category.

Dr. Houser presents nationally and internationally on various special education topics and possesses a keen interest in collaborating with community members to enhance the quality of life for adolescents and young adults with disabilities.
