About
Robert Steen, Ph.D., MBA, CFP®, RICP® is an Adjunct Professor of Financial Planning. He also serves as Advice Director for Retirement & Complex Financial Planning for a major financial services company. In this role, he oversees the development of advice points of view and content regarding: maximizing retirement savings, establishing a retirement income plan, managing financial needs during retirement, estate/trust/inheritance tax planning, charitable gifting, and distribution of assets.
Robert previously served as a financial advisor, financial planner, and senior wealth manager, with extensive experience serving the needs of a wide variety of clients, families, and business owners in the areas of personal financial planning.
Robert holds a Ph.D. in financial and retirement planning through the American College, an MBA in finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Robert is a CFP® professional, and a Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®). Robert and his family have lived in Mexico, and he has traveled throughout Latin America and other parts of the world.
