The Convergence: Special Needs Planning and Women

Location: Virtual - Join from any location!

Date: Jul 14, 2021 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This webcast, hosted jointly by The American College Alumni Association, Women’s Center, and The Center for Special Needs  will highlight special needs planning that is specific to the roles typically held by women. Statistically women are the caregivers for special needs children more than 70 percent of the time, and the divorce rate of parents with special needs children is estimated to be around 80 percent. These staggering statistics make the business case to have proactive discussions with parents with a special needs child who may be separating or divorced.

This webcast will present the continuum of scenarios that touch the lives of women care-givers of special needs children and will provide advisors the essentials to special needs planning for women.
