Trust Certificate Program at a Glance

Admissions Requirements

There are no prerequisite courses required to begin the Trust Certificate Program. Each class must have a minimum of 10 students.

To complete the Trust Certificate Program, you must:

  1. Participate in all class sessions.
  2. Work collaboratively on a final capstone project with a group of fellow students (applicable only to the Advanced Strategies for Building Trust course) or participate in a portfolio of group exercises (applicable only to the Strategies for Building Trust course)

Tuition

Program tuition is determined by the size of the participating cohort, course hours, and mode of course delivery: either fully online, fully in-person, or a hybrid option. Cohorts can include a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 25 students, and pricing ranges from $2,000 to $3,000.

Companies that are members of the Center for Ethics’ Alliance for Ethics will receive a 10% discount. Travel expenses for on-site delivery are not included in tuition.

What You'll Learn

The Trust Certificate Program is designed to provide professionals, advisors, and leaders in financial institutions with a deep and actionable understanding of trust and its underlying mechanisms. Participants will learn about the science of trust and how to apply various frameworks and models to real-life challenges.

Your learning outcomes include:

  • Understanding the distinction between trust and trustworthiness
  • Examining how trust motivates positive behaviors
  • Identifying common barriers to trust, the actions that erode it, and how to restore it 
  • Discovering strategies to enhance trust within the industry and your firm
  • Submitting a real-world trust and leadership challenge for feedback from the facilitators and your colleagues
  • Receiving a Certificate of Completion to commemorate your participation

Course Delivery

The Trust Certificate Program is designed for leaders in financial services institutions seeking to drive overall firm growth and profitability, increase client retention, and develop a high-performing team environment built on trust and collaboration. Students can choose one of two courses:

  • The Advanced Strategies for Building Trust: a Practice-Based Certificate Program is a live program tailored for home office leaders at a single company. This option provides 10 hours of education, including a capstone project, delivered on-site, hybrid, or fully remote This program is eligible for CE credit.
  • The Strategies for Building Trust: a Practice-Based Certificate Program is a mixed cohort option, designed for financial professionals, advisors, and leaders from various financial services institutions. This multi-company version offers 6 hours of live content available for open enrollment via the College’s website. This program is eligible for CE credit. The next session is scheduled for June 2025.
