Dr. Veronica Paz, CPA, CITP, CFF, CGMA, is an adjunct professor at The American College of Financial Services. Dr. Paz is recognized for a wide range of scholarly accomplishments and a commitment to continually developing her teaching practice. In addition to her expertise in general accounting subjects, her areas of special interest have included CEO Compensation, Earning Quality, Fraud & COSO, Gamification, Classroom Technology, AIS Topics & Certifications, Corporate Governance, and SoTL.

Known for her passion for discovering new findings and sharing knowledge, Dr. Paz has made a significant impact within the accounting profession and higher education. Her 20 years of public accounting combined with her business experience at the executive level give her students insights into both theory and real world problem solving. Dr. Paz is known for her natural ability to explain abstract concepts in engaging, interesting, and thought-provoking ways. Her enthusiasm and love for accounting sparks curiosity and connects with learners at all skill levels.  

She earned her Bachelor's of Accounting and Management at Florida International University, her Master's of Accounting Information Systems at Florida International University, and her Doctorate of Business Administration (Concentration in Accounting) at Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Paz is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), a Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF).
