Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®)
The ChFC® designation builds upon the foundational skills required for CFP® certification, including broad financial planning knowledge and strategies, and adds a practical, applied aspect that allows professionals to put the concepts they’ve learned into practice. You’ll learn:
- Basics of financial planning and risk management
- Income tax strategies for individuals, small businesses, and corporations
- Retirement planning, investing, and estate planning strategies for success
- Skills for special needs planning, gift planning and inheritance, and insurance planning
- How to apply knowledge to real-world planning situations
Transfer of credit applicants can complete the program and earn their ChFC® with only one additional course!
Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®)
The CLU® designation offers a specialized, in-depth understanding of the practical, legal, and ethical aspects of life insurance and risk management strategies. You’ll learn:
- Life insurance concepts and law within the context of overall risk management
- Skills to help clients address their estate planning needs
- Solutions that address the life insurance needs of business owners and professionals, including key person and related employee benefits

Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®)
The RICP® designation offers a specialized education in building sustainable, holistic, and integrated retirement income strategy for diverse client situations. You’ll learn:
- Strategies for Social Security claiming
- Approaches to contain healthcare and long-term care costs
- Tools for estate and legacy planning
- How to manage taxation
- Solutions for employee retirement plan savings
- Uses for investments, annuities, and other products

CFP® Certification Credit Transfer FAQs
As of September 2026, our articulation agreement program includes learners from Kansas State University, Missouri State University, University of Georgia, and the University of Houston.

Prospective students should complete a Request for Information form on this page to receive further information.
Prospective students will need to request an official transcript from their educational institution and must have completed comparable courses for transfer of credit within three years prior to their application date. The student must have earned a grade of “C" or better in each undergraduate course and a grade of “B” or better in each graduate course requested for credit recognition and transfer. A grade of “Pass” will be recognized as successful completion of courses.
The student must possess credit for all partner institution courses listed in the Course Equivalency Inventory, meeting these requirements, to leverage this agreement in their plan of study at The College. Any student not possessing the full listing of course credits named in this agreement who wishes to apply for transfer credit into a College program will be subject to the Huebner School’s Transfer of Credit Policy. The student must be matriculated with The College to apply for recognition and transfer of credit and must provide the registrar with proof of completion of the comparable course(s) in the form of official documentation from the university’s official recordkeeping unit.
The College’s CFP® Certification Education Program, and all other CFP® Board-registered programs, are required to feature common knowledge topics in courses that comprise an approved CFP® certification education program. Noncredit CFP® certification education programs are not eligible for credit recognition inside these agreements.
